Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Effective 2026-05-18 · navigatingchildsupport.com

1. Acceptance

By visiting navigatingchildsupport.com (the “Site”) or purchasing the digital book Navigating Child Support — A Nationwide Guide to Modification and Emergency Protocols (the “Book”) or any other product or service offered through the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site or make a purchase.

2. The Site and the Book

The Site publishes educational content about child support law, including modification procedures, state guideline formulas, worksheets, and related process information across all fifty U.S. states plus military and interstate matters. The Book is a downloadable PDF that compiles, organizes, and explains this material.

3. Purchase, Pricing, and Payment

The Book is sold for the price displayed at checkout in U.S. dollars. Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. By completing checkout you authorize the charge and confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a purchase contract.

Receipts are issued automatically by Stripe to the email address provided at checkout.

4. Refund Policy

14-day refund window. If you have not yet downloaded the Book PDF, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing admin@navigatingchildsupport.com with the email address you used at checkout.

Once the Book has been downloaded, the sale is final and refunds are not available, except where required by applicable law. This restriction reflects the nature of digital content: the file cannot be returned in any meaningful sense after delivery.

5. License to Use the Book

On purchase you receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to download, store, print, and read the Book for your own personal or household use. You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, share, sublicense, or repost the Book in whole or in part;
  • Upload the Book to any file-sharing service, cloud-storage folder accessible to others, or online repository;
  • Strip, alter, or obscure any copyright, attribution, or branding contained in the Book;
  • Use the Book as the basis for a derivative product, course, or training material offered to third parties.

All copyright in the Book is owned by Navigating Child Support and is protected under U.S. and international copyright law.

6. Not Legal Advice

The Site and the Book provide general educational information about child support law and process. They are not legal advice. Reading the Site or the Book does not create an attorney-client relationship with Navigating Child Support, its author, its agents, or anyone associated with the Site.

State law and court procedure change frequently. The content reflects the law as of its publication date and may be outdated by the time you read it. For advice on your specific situation you must consult a licensed attorney in your state.

7. No Warranty

The Site and the Book are provided “as is,” without any warranty, express or implied. We do not warrant that the content is accurate, current, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. Statutes, regulations, court rules, forms, and worksheets change; before relying on any information in the Book you should verify it against current sources and, where the stakes warrant, against a licensed attorney’s review of your matter.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Navigating Child Support, its author, contributors, or affiliates be liable to you or any third party for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from or related to your use of the Site or the Book, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, total liability is capped at the amount you paid for the Book in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Navigating Child Support and its author from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site or the Book.

10. Email Communications

When you provide your email address — whether at checkout, on a signup form, or by joining a list — you consent to receive transactional and, where you’ve opted in, marketing email from Navigating Child Support. You may unsubscribe from marketing email at any time via the link in any marketing message.

11. Privacy

Purchase information (name, email, payment metadata) is processed by Stripe and stored by MailerLite, our email service provider. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. For more detail on data handling, contact us at the email below.

12. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflicts of laws principles. Any action or proceeding arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Site or the Book shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version takes effect when posted on this page. Material changes will be reflected in the “Effective” date at the top. Continuing to use the Site or making a new purchase after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
